Tatiana Kitchen
is a Jacksonville, Florida-based visual artist whose work delves into
the complexities of human emotion, with a focus on the power and resilience of the
human spirit. Her art captures the beauty, vulnerability, and strength of the human
experience, offering a distinct perspective shaped by her identity as a Black woman
in America. Drawing inspiration from her environment, Tatiana crafts pieces that
reflect the emotional depth of our shared journeys.
Primarily self-taught, Tatiana also received formal training at the nationally
recognized Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, where she majored in visual arts.
Today, she is a sought-after muralist and fine artist in Jacksonville, in addition to
serving as a visual arts instructor at The Jacksonville Art and Music School. In 2022,
she was awarded the prestigious Art Ventures Grant, supporting the creation of a
significant body of work for her upcoming solo exhibition.
Tatiana’s work has been showcased in major venues across Florida, including Art Basel Miami, the Orlando Museum of Art, and The New Orleans African American Museum. Her art has been featured in notable publications such as VOID Magazine, FOLIO Weekly, and First Coast News’ Black History Month Features.
